Portable Derail Low Profile
The PD-6 portable derail system meets your railroads requirements!
This unit is an upgrade of the previous PD-1 double ended derail. The PD-1 has been discontinued and the part re engineered to meet industry demands and class 1 requirements.
Better Convenience:
Covers a broader range of rail sizes – 5″ to 7-7/16″ (80 to 141 lbs.) Available in left and right hand throw.
Technically proven:
This portable derail is fabricated from high-strength steel, and will derail all rolling stock including six-axle mainline locomotives, when installed properly.
Low profile:
Unit sits only 2-3/4″ above the rail head.
Lightweight:
The derail unit only weighs 42 lbs. so it is easily handled by an individual.
Easy Installation:
The derail unit fits on to the track easily and requires no special tools to install.
Security:
The portable derail, optional staff, and optional flag can be padlocked to the rail head to ensure visibility and safety and prevent unauthorized removal.
